We also accept Workers Comp and First-Party PIP claims, and we are often able to directly bill United HealthCare and First Choice Health Network. If we are not in-network with your insurance plan, contact us about submission-ready bills for you to send to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.

She feels privileged to meet people where they are in their journey and honored to be trusted to assist patients into better health or more comfort. She founded The Well Being as a place to invite people to come to do this important work.

Monica believes every person can live a healthy and vibrant life in their body and is passionate about providing her patients with both the well-being and confidence to pursue more joyful lives, so they can be the best and truest versions of themselves possible. She understands that when people feel healthy and comfortable, they live more courageously. She knows that health and vitality are derived from a body that functions effectively, efficiently, and comfortably; a body that is in synergy with the spirit; a body that is thriving and grounded. Monica helps her patients create whole-being wellness. She uses acupuncture, body therapies, and emotional and energy work to create customized treatments for her patients to give them optimal results. By combining her educational and experiential knowledge with her innate “knowing”, she empathetically gives each body what it needs most in each treatment. Whether patients come to her for Acupuncture for pain relief or internal body issues, for Facial Renewal Acupuncture “facelifts”, for other wellness therapies, or for ThetaHealing, she gently guides them to know themselves better, so they understand what they need for their Well Being.

Monica graduated from UC San Diego with a BA in 1994, from Brenneke School of Massage in 1997, and from Bastyr University with a Master of Science in Acupuncture in 1999. She has been a Diplomate of the NCCAOM since 1999. She has been a Certified Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncturist since 2003 and has held Advanced Certification in Facial Renewal Acupuncture since 2005, after studying under both Virginia Doran and Mary Elizabeth Wakefield, respectively. Monica has been a certified Bereavement Support Specialist since 2002, and she spent 20 years concurrently offering support in the bereavement field. Monica has been a recognized Advanced ThetaHealer since 2005 and is regularly involved in furthering her skills. Monica loves continuously learning, deepening her knowledge, and -to this end- has taken more than 50 continuing education classes since 1999 to stay current in her field and to learn new ways of helping her patients live more healthfully.
